Two soldiers from Dagestan were killed in Ukraine.

Anver Alibekov and Kazbek Salikhov from the Tabasaran region were killed in the fighting. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, officials have publicly named at least 1,688 Dagestan servicemen killed.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," by November 20, at least 1,686 Dagestan soldiers had been officially recognized as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

On November 20, a ceremony was held at the municipal administration to present medals to participants in the special military operation and their families, Magomed Kurbanov, head of the Tabasaran district, reported on his Telegram channel.

"Private Kazbek Salikhov from the village of Tsanak was awarded the Suvorov Medal, and Anver Alibekov from the village of Ruguzh was awarded the Order of Courage," the district head said in a statement. Biographical details and circumstances of death are not provided in the report.

Thus, at least 1,688 combatants from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed in the combat zone in Ukraine. The Caucasian Knot maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation.
