The case of General Kirillov's murder has reached court.

The Second District Military Court has received a case regarding the murder of Igor Kirillov, the head of the radiation, chemical, and biological defense troops, and his assistant. The defendants in the case include, among others, two natives of Ingushetia and a Russian citizen born in Baku.

As reported by the Caucasian Knot, on January 16, Moscow's Basmanny Court remanded in custody Ingush natives Batukhan Tochiyev and Ramazan Padiev, accused of committing a terrorist attack and illegally possessing and manufacturing explosives. Both Tochiyev and Padiev pled not guilty. In September, another defendant in the case emerged – Robert Safaryan, a Baku native and Russian citizen. According to investigators, he supplied the bomb to Akhmadzhon Kurbonov, the perpetrator of the terrorist attack.

The Second Western District Military Court has referred the criminal case regarding the terrorist attack that killed Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov and his assistant Ilya Polikarpov. The first hearing is scheduled for today, November 5, RIA Novosti reports.

Among the defendants are Akhmadjon Kurbonov, a native of Uzbekistan; Robert Safaryan, a native of Baku; and two natives of Ingushetia, Batukhan Tochiyev and Ramazan Padiev. Depending on their role in committing the crime, they are charged with participating in a terrorist organization, committing a terrorist act by an organized group, illegal trafficking of explosives and explosive devices, and undergoing training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities.
