Makhachkala townspeople protest against frequent water and power outages

On January 14, several dozen residents of Makhachkala went out to a street protest action, demanding from bureaucrats to solve the problem of power and water outages. People are freezing up without electricity; and because of frequent outages thereof, household appliances fail, another group of Makhachkala townspeople have noted on the Instagram.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 23, at a press conference of the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, Magomed Magomedov, the editor-in-chief of the RIA "Dagestan", addressed him and asked to help in solving problems with water, power and gas supplies in Dagestan.

Residents of Dagestan had repeatedly complained about problems with communal utilities. On November 16, 2021, dozens of residents of the dwelling settlement of Krivaya Balka near Makhachkala blocked the motor road, demanding power (electricity) to be supplied to their houses.
