Earthquake occurs near Dagestani village

An earthquake of magnitude of 3.4 points has been registered today at three kilometres from the village of Dylym, Kazbek District. No information about the victims and destructions was reported.

According to seismologists, the earthquake occurred at 5:40 a.m. Moscow time at the depth of 10 kilometres.

The epicentre was located three kilometres south-west of the village of Dylym, says the message posted on the website of the Euro-Mediterranean Seismic Centre.

According to the Rosstat (Russian Federal Statistics Service), on January 1, 2018, a total of 8834 people lived in the village of Dylym, the Kazbek District, says the document posted on the Service's website.

There have been no reports about casualties and destructions caused by the seismic event.
