The weigh-in ceremony took place in Las Vegas on the eve of the MMA fight of a Dagestani Khabib Nurmagomedov versus Irishman Conor McGregor at the Ultimate Fight Championship (UFC). While McGregor provoked Nurmagomedov to fight, their fans staged a fight in the hall.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that all the tickets to the fight were sold out in three minutes back on August 18.

On the eve of the fight in Las Vegas, McGregor tried to provoke Nurmagomedov into a brawl by hitting his arm. Then he tried to hit Nurmagomedov with his foot, but did not reach the Russian fighter, the "R-Sport" reports.

At the same weigh-in ceremony, a scuffle broke out among the fans, including women. The police promptly separated the fighters, the TASS reports.

The Stavropol-based edition named "Pobeda" (Victory) writes that the head of the village of Kussu located in the Digoria Gorge in North Ossetia supported the proposal to award the title of honorary citizen to Nurmagomedov in case he beats McGregor.

In late August, the Dagestani fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov and the Irishman Conor McGregor entered their remote squabble. McGregor called Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, the father and coach of his opponent, a coward, because he had praised Kadyrov. According to the Irishman, the father of his Dagestan rival is afraid of the "dictator" Ramzan Kadyrov.
