On October 8, Baku hosted a rally in defence of freedom of assembly. The police have restricted access to the venue by placing cordons in adjacent streets. Only 50 people were let to attend the rally. Groups of opposition supporters tried to break through the police cordons, some activists were detained. See photo report by Aziz Karimov.
