As reported by "Caucasian Knot", one of the leaders of the "United National Movement" Georgy Baramidze was detained in Tbilisi on the 653rd day of continuous protests. Participants of the pro-European action in Batumi reminded the authorities of the provisions of the Constitution of Georgia.

Former Vice Prime Minister of Georgia sentenced in absentia for mercenarism

A Russian court in Donetsk has sentenced former Vice Prime Minister of Georgia Georgy Baramidze to 6.5 years for participating in hostilities on the side of Ukraine.

As a preventive measure against one of the leaders of the "United National Movement" Georgy Baramidze, the court chose detention. The decision was made by Judge Eka Barbakadze. The accused also participated in the session, as reported today by "Interpressnews".

The prosecution of Georgy Baramidze on false charges of treason by the regime is an attempt by the "Georgian Dream" to cover up its own treacherous policies, states the "Coalition for Change".

According to their statement, "the violence of the regime is doomed to fail." Weakened by mutual confrontations, mutual distrust, and criminal disputes between the "clans", the Ivanishvili regime is trying to demonstrate strength, the agency quotes an excerpt from the political force's statement.
