The Sochi developer Pruidze was detained in Moscow after escaping from the combat zone.

The developer from Sochi, Anzor Pruidze, who has been convicted four times for fraud involving the funds of shareholders, was detained in Moscow after leaving the military unit without permission.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", in April 2022, the court sentenced the owner and CEO of the Sochi construction company "Yug-Stroy", Anzor Pruidze, to seven years in prison and a fine of 500,000 rubles, finding him guilty of fraud involving creditor funds. The court concluded that he and five other defendants attracted funds from shareholders for the construction of several residential complexes, including the apartment complex "Horizont". In July of the same year, the appellate court reduced Pruidze's sentence by two months, and in December, the court in Sochi issued an acquittal, declaring him innocent. In May 2024, developer Anzor Pruidze was sentenced to five years and two months in a penal colony, having been found guilty of fraud involving creditor funds.

Law enforcement in Moscow detained the repeatedly convicted Sochi developer Anzor Pruidze, who had been on the international wanted list for about a year, reported a participant in the initiative group of shareholders to "Kommersant".

Pruidze, who received another five-year sentence in May 2025, avoided prison by signing a contract with the Ministry of Defense to be sent to the military operation zone. Soon after, Pruidze escaped from the combat zone - a case of leaving the unit without permission was initiated against him in July 2025, and in October he was declared wanted, the publication notes.

Also, in October 2025, a new criminal case was initiated against Pruidze for fraud involving the funds of shareholders - buyers of apartments in the "Horizont" complex. This residential complex is also involved in the case of entrepreneur Ruben Tatulyan, who is accused of fraud - his case has already been submitted for consideration to the Krasnodar Regional Court. It will be heard in absentia, as Tatulyan has left Russia.

"Caucasian Knot" reported that in June, the Fourth Cassation Court in Krasnodar upheld the decision to deny the developer company of the "Horizont" apart-hotel in Sochi in its attempt to annul 886 participation agreements in shared construction. The developer insisted that the money received from shareholders was embezzled by former director Anzor Pruidze.

In 2015, the court in Sochi found Anzor Pruidze guilty in the case of Vice Mayor Oleg Vronsky, who issued a construction permit in violation of regulations. At that time, the developer was fined 80,000 rubles. In June 2019, Pruidze was convicted on three criminal charges - he received five years in a penal colony, and his property was seized.
