Pro-European protests in Georgian cities continue for 650 days.

Supporters of Georgia's Eurointegration held a rally in Tbilisi on the 650th day of protests, calling to continue the struggle and demanding the release of political prisoners. Continuous demonstrations are also taking place in Batumi and Kutaisi.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on September 7, on the 649th day of continuous pro-European actions, protesters in Batumi and Tbilisi reiterated their demand to free the prisoners of conscience.

Activists in Tbilisi gathered this evening for pro-European demonstrations, which are taking place in front of the Georgian Parliament building and the city council, reports Netgazeti.

The main demands of the protesters throughout the actions remain unchanged - citizens demand the release of political prisoners, the repeal of repressive laws, a return to a Euro-Atlantic course, and new, free elections, notes Publika.

Those gathered in Tbilisi held signs saying "Georgia 200, you are not welcome in Georgia", "Don't stop the struggle", "We remember Ivanishvili's police", "Bidzina, go to the Parchaladze battalion" and "Freedom for regime prisoners", according to photos published by photographer Georgy Mosiashvili (Mo Se).

One of the protesters' signs featured a phrase attributed to Dzhokhar Dudayev by internet users: "Russia will disappear when the Ukrainian sun rises".

Another sign was dedicated to the death of activist Dekanosidze, an active participant in the protests - it asked the question: "How did Keso die?" The activist, who went missing at sea near the Old Boulevard in Batumi late on August 29, was searched for several days. Activists were alarmed that after Keso's death, videos from her social media page, where she spoke about serious political disagreements with her mother, a supporter of the "Georgian Dream", were deleted, writes On.ge.

Continuous pro-European actions are also taking place in Batumi, where demonstrators gather daily in front of the Constitutional Court of Georgia, and in Kutaisi, where protesters come out with flags of Georgia and the European Union to the city hall building.

Protest participants in Georgia have been demanding new parliamentary elections and the release of political prisoners since November 28, 2024. Security forces have conducted harsh dispersals of protests, using tear gas and water cannons, and detained protesters. During the protests, thousands of people have faced administrative prosecution.
