The fundraising for protective film at a school in Krasnodar outraged internet users.

The expenses for ensuring the school's security should not be passed on to parents, and the protective film does not guarantee window protection in the event of an explosion, said Telegram users, commenting on the fundraising in one of the schools in Krasnodar.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on September 2, residents of Krasnodar expressed outrage at the collection of money from parents for protective film for the windows of one school and doubted the effectiveness of such a protective measure.

A post stating that the administration of one of the schools in Krasnodar suggested that parents contribute money for protective film for the windows was published on September 2 by the Telegram channel "Tupodar Krasnodar", which has about 56.7 thousand subscribers.

As of 05:55 MSK on September 5, the post had received 57 reactions from users and 11 comments. Users were outraged that the expenses for ensuring the school's security were being passed on to parents. "Have they completely lost their minds? Should parents build the school too?" – exclaimed a user with the nickname Domovoy.

"2026, neural networks everywhere, and some have protective film..." – wrote Denis Denisov.

Other commentators doubted the effectiveness of the protective film and ironically assessed the situation with school safety. "Not to mention how low-quality this film is. In the event of a bombing, it will fly out along with the frame," – believes user T. K.

"Some defective bright future has been delivered," – stated Kim Mindcaster.

"This is, of course, a success" – sarcastically remarked Anatoly P.

Covering windows with protective film is not mandatory under current legislation, reported the education department of Krasnodar. All educational institutions in the city have safety passports, and each school and kindergarten has designated shelter areas in case of drone attacks, noted the Krasnodar MTC on September 2 in its Telegram channel, citing the department.

Educational organizations are not entitled to require parents to pay for such a security measure, the MTC indicated.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that residents of Kuban periodically complain about fees in schools. For instance, on August 31, residents of Krasnodar reported on fundraising for decorating schools, cameras, split systems, and other needs.

On May 14, 2021, parents of schoolchildren in Sochi reported that they had previously been asked to contribute money for school security; in different educational institutions, the amount ranged from 50 to 100 rubles.
