A fighter from the Astrakhan region was killed in Ukraine

Alexander Tyurev from the Yenotayevsky district was killed in a military operation in Ukraine. Since its beginning, at least 759 fighters from the Astrakhan region have been officially recognized as killed.

Alexander Tyurev was born on February 8, 1980, in the village of Kapanovka in the Yenotayevsky district. After finishing 9 grades of a rural school, he learned the profession of a tractor driver and began working in this specialty at the Kirov collective farm in the village of Vetlyanka, the district administration reported on its page on "VKontakte".

In October 2024, the man signed a contract and went to the special military operation. On November 11, 2024, he was killed near the settlement of Verkhnekamenskoye. He left behind five children.

Thus, at least 759 fighters from the Astrakhan region have been officially recognized as killed. "Caucasian Knot" maintains a named list of natives from the North Caucasus Federal District and the Southern Federal District who were killed in the military operation. The list is compiled based on data officially announced by representatives of the authorities and law enforcement agencies, according to the "Caucasian Knot" report "SVO Statistics: Losses in Southern Russia are Increasing".

At the end of February, it became known that Vladimir Kostin from the Yenotayevsky district was killed in the military operation .

State awards, memorial plaques, and appearances on "Channel One" do not guarantee support from the state for the families of the killed, as stated in the material of the "Caucasian Knot" "Three Comrades Served: How Authorities Deny Benefits to Families of Killed Volunteers", which describes the stories of the killed fighters. For instance, the mother of the killed Dmitry Ukhanov said that she searched for her son's body for four months, while officials from the administration and the military enlistment office inquired about the progress of the search without providing any help.
