Less than 30% of those affected by the spring floods in Dagestan received payments.

The authorities of Dagestan reported on payments to 82 thousand residents of the republic who were recognized as victims of the flooding. The total amount of payments reached 3 billion rubles.

By August 7, more than 80 thousand victims of the floods in Dagestan received payments, for which 2.9 billion rubles were allocated, the government of the republic reported.

Updated data on payments to residents of Dagestan affected by the flooding in spring 2026 were announced at a meeting of the government commission led by the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, Alexander Kurenkov.

Payments totaling more than 3 billion rubles were received by 82 thousand residents of Dagestan, the government of the republic informed on its Telegram channel. This is 29.93% of the total number of applicants, calculated "Caucasian Knot".

"Special attention today is being paid to accelerating the process of providing financial assistance for damaged and lost housing. We plan to start issuing certificates soon. We have completed the on-site acceptance of applications from residents of affected areas. We are currently processing the last requests from those who, for objective reasons, were unable to submit a complete set of documents," the government press service said.

At the meeting, it was stated that the construction of new schools to replace those damaged by flooding is ongoing. The contractor began work on July 8. In Adilotar, the work is 80% complete, in Tsiyab-Tsilitli — 70%, in Rukel — 35%, and in the village of Arablinskoe — more than 20%, the government reported.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that in early July, residents of the village of Adilotar in the Khasavyurt district recorded a video message to Putin asking him to take personal control of the situation with payments and the issuance of housing certificates to those affected by the spring flooding in Dagestan.
