More than 90 houses and grain terminals were damaged in Novorossiysk after the air attack

After the drone attack in Novorossiysk, six private houses and at least one apartment were completely destroyed, and more than 90 residential buildings were damaged in total. Work was suspended at two of the three grain terminals in the port of Novorossiysk.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", after the drone attack on the Krasnodar region on August 12, three people died and another 24 were injured. In Novorossiysk, dozens of houses were damaged, a bridge collapsed, and electricity and water were partially cut off.

By the evening of August 12, city services had fully restored traffic on Magistralnaya Street, where an overpass collapsed as a result of the night drone attack.

“Specialists dismantled the collapsed gallery: a section about 50 meters long was sawed and cut into pieces. (...) The roadway has been cleared, damage to high-voltage and trolleybus lines has been eliminated, and passage is free and safe,” reported the head of Novorossiysk, Andrey Kravchenko, on his Telegram channel.

He did not report on the resumption of water supply to the residents. The governor of the Krasnodar region stated in the evening of August 12 that water supply to the homes of Novorossiysk residents would be restored "within a day."

Officials inspected 94 damaged houses

An official also reported that working groups from district administrations inspected 94 residential houses that were damaged in one day. Among them were 29 apartment buildings and 65 private houses.

According to Kravchenko, the most houses were damaged in the Eastern district. “We inspected 34 private houses, of which six are practically destroyed. We also visited six apartment buildings, 280 apartments,” he wrote.

In the Central district of Novorossiysk, nine private houses and 15 apartments in 13 apartment buildings were damaged - mainly windows were broken there.

Another 28 apartments in two apartment buildings were damaged in the Primorsky district. “One is completely destroyed, in the others, windows, doors, and walls are damaged. 22 private houses are partially damaged,” Kravchenko reported.

Nine apartments in eight apartment buildings in the Southern district were also damaged. In all districts, there are still uninspected objects, and damage assessment and cleanup will continue on August 13.

Two grain terminals suspended operations

As a result of the attack on the night of August 12, the infrastructure for transshipment of agricultural cargo at the Novorossiysk grain terminal was damaged, and it suspended operations, reported “Vedomosti” citing its own sources.

According to the publication, the grain terminal of the Novorossiysk grain products plant, owned by the United Grain Company, was also damaged.

The company’s press service did not provide official information about the consequences of the attack, stating only that no employees of the enterprise were harmed. The NKH grain terminal also suspended operations, claims Reuters citing sources in industrial circles.

There are three grain terminals located in the port of Novorossiysk. The third is the KSK grain terminal, whose representatives also did not comment on the consequences of the attack.
