Due to bad weather in the Rostov region, 89 passenger trains are delayed, and the departure of several other passenger trains from the cities of Kuban and Stavropol has been postponed.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", in 15 cities and districts of the Rostov region, problems with electricity supply arose after heavy rains and gusty winds, and in some areas, there were also issues with water supply. Local residents complained that during the hurricane, police, rescue services, gas, and utility services were inaccessible, and in some cases, specialists did not arrive for several hours. During the hurricane in Rostov-on-Don, one person died and another 13 were injured.

Due to the emergency shutdown of traction substations and automatic train movement regulation devices, which occurred on July 25 due to bad weather in the Rostov region, 89 passenger trains are delayed, the press service of Russian Railways reported.

"The maximum delay time is up to 8 hours. Railway workers are making every effort to reduce the delay time. Train crew members are providing comprehensive assistance and support.
Passengers of trains delayed for more than 4 hours are provided with meals," the company assured.

The press service of the North Caucasian Railway informed that the departure times from the initial stations of the following trains are changing. In particular, trains from Anapa, Adler, Yeisk, Novorossiysk, Kislovodsk, and Sirius. For some trains, the delay is 3-4 hours, according to a message in the Telegram channel of the North Caucasian Railway.

Recall that in August 2025, as a result of a drone falling near the Sergeevka railway station in the Rostov region, the operation of the contact network was disrupted, and train movement was temporarily halted. 38 trains were delayed.
