Slyusar's report on combating rising fuel prices has caused skepticism among the residents of the Rostov Region.

The Governor of the Rostov Region, Yuri Slyusar, reported that law enforcement agencies have compiled a number of materials regarding local enterprises for price gouging on fuel. Local residents, commenting on his report in Telegram, pointed out that at some gas stations fuel is sold for 100-150 rubles per liter, and there are still long queues.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", as of July 22, at network gas stations in several regions of southern Russia, it was only possible to buy gasoline at a low price after standing in a long queue, while prices at private gas stations were even twice as high. Residents of Dagestan, Chechnya, Kabardino-Balkaria, Stavropol, and the Rostov Region reported that they consider such a price gap an attempt to profit from car owners.

In the Rostov Region, police are checking local enterprises for price gouging on fuel; a number of materials have been submitted to the Rostov OFAS, reported Governor Yuri Slyusar.

"Checks are being conducted on more than 30 cases of violations in the turnover of petroleum products. <…> 38 tons of fuel and equipment for illegal production have been seized," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Users discussed fuel prices at specific gas stations and the work of the antimonopoly service.

"Why is fuel sold at 'Grifon' gas stations for 150 rubles per liter and no one checks their operations?" asked user Rostov2030.

"These are private owners, they buy it for 100 rubles themselves," replied user Oks.

"Well, that's clear. Why isn't the antimonopoly service checking them?" wrote in response Rostov2030.

"At 'Flash' gas stations, the price is the same, at least on the trading prospect," wrote Inna Ost in response to user Rostov2030.

Other commentators complained about high fuel prices at private gas stations, including in the Dubovsky district.

"Why aren't those selling for 100 rubles checked?" asked user AH.

"In the Dubovsky district, there are no large gas stations. Private owners are profiting from people and have raised the price. AI-92 is 125 rubles. Now they have also started adding to gas. It was 34 rubles, and now it's 42 rubles. Please personally address this disorder and don't listen to what the administrations tell you. They cover up this mess," stated user GE.

Another user inquired about what measures the authorities are taking to reduce queues at gas stations.

"So what about the queues in the end? The fact that you catch resellers and fine them, filling the budget, is good for health. But what is being done for ordinary people? How do you plan to solve the queue problem? Or, as usual, will it just resolve itself?" wrote Artemiy.

Let us remind you that the fuel crisis has forced drivers in the southern regions of Russia to massively install gas equipment (GBO) on their cars. There have been long queues at auto repair shops. Earlier, analysts noted that long queues at auto services force drivers to turn to "gray" installers who do not provide safety guarantees.
