The death toll from the missile strike on a plant in Volgograd has risen.

A woman was killed in an attack on a business in Volgograd, and another person is still missing. Authorities reported checking the air quality near the damaged plant.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot," at least ten people were injured in a drone attack on an industrial facility in the Krasnooktyabrsky District of Volgograd, authorities reported.

"Unfortunately, as a result of today's missile attack, one person was killed. During the cleanup of the damage, the body of an employee of the plant was found. I express my sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. The search for another employee of the plant continues. According to updated information, 11 victims have been hospitalized. The condition of two of them is serious, doctors are doing everything possible to stabilize the condition of the victims," ​​Volgograd Region Governor Andrei Bocharov announced today on the regional administration's Telegram channel.

The deceased was a 52-year-old employee of the plant, reports V1.

Rospotrebnadzor staff measured radiation levels in nearby residential buildings and analyzed air samples for hazardous substances released after the fire. The indicators haven't been exceeded, and the concentrations of substances are normal, the researchers confirmed, writes Volgograd TRV.

Volgograd residents said they didn't know what to do during the attack.

"My neighbor and I ran out, but where could we run? There was nowhere to run. We received a message: take your documents, hide in a shelter. We've never seen one! Although there is a large basement in our building, it's always locked, it smells of dampness, and, in my opinion, there's nothing equipped at all. So what should we do? Everyone poured out into the street. We were standing there, talking among ourselves, and nothing else. I called my daughter in the Voroshilovsky district. She said, 'Mom, take a taxi, come to us.' But that's not right. My blood pressure jumped like crazy. And at the same time, we understand that we can't call an ambulance in such a state, because we could clearly hear one after another "The ambulances rushed.
