Yuriy Slyusar's report on tourism development drew criticism from Donetsk residents.

Governor Yuri Slyusar reported on road repairs to tourist sites in the Rostov Region. Local residents, commenting on his Telegram post, called on the regional governor to prioritize road conditions in populated areas.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," residents of the Rostov Region have previously repeatedly complained about road problems. Specifically, on May 13, residents of Novocherkassk and nearby towns appealed to the Russian president to have city authorities repair the dilapidated road on Partizanka Ulyana Gromova Street. According to them, they have been unsuccessfully trying for years to repair a key section connecting Novocherkassk and the Krasyukovskaya settlement.

According to Rostov Region Governor Yuri Slyusar, he has instructed the Ministry of Transport to repair roads leading to tourist sites.

"We are developing tourism potential, starting with road repairs. <…> Our plans include renovating more than 45 kilometers of roads leading to tourist sites," the governor reported on his Telegram channel on June 13.

This post on Yuri Slyusar's Telegram channel, which has nearly 167,000 subscribers, had garnered 157 likes and 68 comments as of 9:50 AM Moscow time on June 14.

"Do we really need tourism right now? Everything else is already in place?" – asked Larisa. "In Rostov, they should fix everything first," wrote user Peruane.

"Tourists need public transportation... Two trams on the line in a city of a million. Shame," emphasized Vadik.

"Come to Taganrog and look at this tourist town. The roads are potholes, and Vodokanal has added potholes all over the city," complained Elena Semenova.

"And when will we get around to Azov? The grass is waist-high, the roads look like they've been bombed, have they already solved the garbage collection problem? We still have to get to the museum. And it's a mess all around," noted Nina. "Taganrog wasn't even mentioned... It's so bad it's not even worth starting repairs," said a user with the nickname It's Me.

"When will they finish repairing our road? Rostov-Taganrog, the section from Pyatikhatka to Sambek. There was a sign saying the repairs would be completed in the fall of 2025. Now the sign only shows the start date. There's no end date. It seems like infinity," noted Tatiana Zhuravleva.

"The road to the Prisalsky farm in the Dubovsky district. They simply filled the potholes with cut-out pieces of asphalt. I've never seen anything like this," wrote a user with the nickname GE.

"And they forgot about A.P. Chekhov's birthplace. The central street of Taganrog "Chekhov Highway is in terrible condition. It's impossible to drive on it," user Serd Nem emphasized.

"I ask you to pay attention to 4th Dovatora Drive; the asphalt surface is in disrepair. No concrete responses have been given to inquiries and complaints for three years. Commuting to and from work has turned into an obstacle course. The district and city administrations respond every year to consider the issue for the following year," Andrey Yarmov wrote to the governor.

As of 9:50 AM Moscow time on June 14, there were no comments on Yuri Slyusar's Telegram channel or on the Rostov Region administration website regarding residents' complaints about poor roads.
