The cause of the fire on the Mozdok-Kazimagomed gas pipeline has been revealed.

A gas pipeline fire in Dagestan was caused by a depressurization, authorities reported.

According to the "Caucasian Knot" newspaper, a fire broke out on the Mozdok-Kazimagomed main gas pipeline on June 9. Today, authorities announced that the gas pipeline is scheduled to be repaired within three days.

A depressurization and fire occurred on the Mozdok-Kazimagomed main gas pipeline, Acting Governor of Dagestan Fyodor Shchukin reported today on his Telegram channel.

"More than 140 people were evacuated from the site. There were no injuries. The fire has been extinguished, the situation is stable. All residents have returned to their homes," he clarified.

Some residents of Kizilyurt, the Kizilyurt and Khasavyurt districts are experiencing temporary gas outages, Shchukin added.
