Turali residents have secured a response from the authorities to their video message.

At a meeting with activists from Turali, the mayor of Makhachkala promised to stop the development of a plot of land designated for social facilities.

As reported by Kavkazsky Uzel, residents of Makhachkala's Turali microdistrict recorded a video message in which they complained that they were deprived of a clinic, school, and playground, but instead of building them, officials transferred the vacant plot of land to private hands.

"Today, residents of the Turali microdistrict recorded a video message asking for attention to the attempted development of a plot of land reserved for the construction of a social facility. I immediately invited an initiative group led by activist Raziyat Mikailova and held a working meeting," Makhachkala Mayor Dzhambulat Salavov reported. Telegram channel.

According to the mayor, the land plot was reserved by the capital's administration for the construction of a 320-student school, but third parties registered the plots without supporting documents. Legal proceedings are currently underway.

"The Makhachkala city administration has not issued any development permits for the area and does not plan to, as social facilities remain our absolute priority," Salavov said in a statement.

The official also reported that two plots of land in the neighborhood have been reserved for school construction for future inclusion in state programs. He assured residents that no construction work would be carried out.

"We will meet with those who claim ownership of these land plots. Instructions have already been given to investigate how the documents were drawn up and to identify those involved in these illegal actions," the city mayor said.

Activist Raziyat Mikailova, who spoke on behalf of residents with an appeal regarding the possible development of a land plot reserved for the construction of a social facility, said after meeting with the mayor that she was pleased with the visit and hoped that the issue would be resolved positively.

"These plots are in question; court decisions have not yet been made on them. They were illegally sold. We had a friend who started the development, after which the residents gathered, held a meeting, and filed a complaint with the authorities. The mayor immediately responded to our video message; we explained the essence of the problem to him, and the mayor "He promised to resolve the issue in the near future," said Raziyat Mikailova.
