Over 60 homes remain flooded in Ingushetia.

More than 20 houses and 48 surrounding areas remain in the flood zone in the Sunzhensky District of Ingushetia. In Karabulak, pumping water from flooded houses and yards has been completed.

As "Caucasian Knot" reported, in mid-April, residents of Sunzha demanded coastal protection work amid heavy rains in the region. Residents said they feared a repeat of the situation in Dagestan. On May 25, 75 residents of the rural settlement of Troitskoye in the Sunzhensky District of Ingushetia were evacuated due to flooding. In total, more than 40 houses were flooded in Troitskoye and Karabulak .

In the village of Troitskoye in the Sunzhensky District of Ingushetia, 22 houses and 48 adjacent areas remain flooded as of May 26, the republic's office of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.

Flood pumping operations have been underway since the morning of May 26 in two villages where homes were flooded: Troitskoye and Karabulak. By evening, water pumping in Karabulak was completed; as of the evening of May 26, there were no flooded homes.

In Troitskoye, the regional road Sunzha-Nazran was dug up to drain the water; the local administration is laying a drainage pipe underneath it to divert the water into the Sunzha River. Seventy-five evacuated residents are still staying with relatives, Interfax-Yug reports.

On May 26, the head of the republic, Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov, announced that the republic's authorities would provide assistance to flood victims. "I have ordered a damage assessment to be carried out as quickly as possible, all affected properties must be accounted for, and all necessary assistance must be provided to people," the official wrote on his Telegram channel. According to the Caucasian Knot weather service, moderate rain is expected in Troitskoye tonight. The rain will ease but not stop during the day on May 27.
