A large-scale drone attack was recorded in the Rostov Region. Residents of Sochi, Sirius, and Adler heard a series of explosions. As reported by the Caucasian Knot, a drone strike threat was issued last night in several regions of the Southern and North Caucasus Federal Districts, including Kabardino-Balkaria and North Ossetia. Residents of Taganrog reported explosions. More than 30 drones were destroyed in 12 districts of the Rostov Region overnight. There were no reports of casualties or damage, regional Governor Yuri Slyusar reported.

"Last night, the Rostov Region was subjected to a massive air attack. More than three dozen UAVs were destroyed in 12 districts of the region. The following districts were attacked: Millerovsky, Tarasovsky, Kamensky, Belokalitvinsky, Milyutinsky, Chertkovsky, Oblivsky, Verkhnedonskoy, Sholokhovsky, Azovsky, Neklinovsky, and Aksaysky," the official wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to the Ministry of Defense, from 9 p.m. Moscow time on May 6 to 7 p.m. Moscow time on May 7, 347 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down over territories including the Volgograd and Rostov regions, Krasnodar Krai, Adygea, and Kalmykia, TASS reported.

Sochi residents heard explosions

Residents of Sochi, Sirius, and Adler heard a series of explosions and claim to have seen flashes coming from the Black Sea, according to the SHOT Telegram channel. They say the drones were flying at low altitude. There is no official information about casualties or damage.

Earlier, on the night of May 7, a drone attack threat was issued in Sochi and the Sirius federal territory. "A drone attack threat has been issued in the city of Sochi," Proshunin wrote on his Telegram channel.
