The case of the death of an employee of a mental health clinic in Korenovsk has reached court.

A case has been submitted to the court regarding the collapse of an interfloor ceiling at a mental health clinic in Korenovsk, in which an employee died, the deputy director was charged with negligence, and a technician was charged with causing death by negligence.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", in October 2024, an interfloor ceiling collapsed at the Korenovsk mental health clinic , killing a medical staff member.

The criminal investigation has been completed. The case against two employees of the Korenovsk Psychoneurological Dispensary, who are accused of causing the collapse of a building and the death of a nurse, was referred to the court, according to Utrenny Yug on March 31.

The case against the deputy director of the institution, who is accused of negligence (Part 2 of Article 293 of the Russian Criminal Code), and a technician, who is accused of causing death by negligence due to improper performance of professional duties (Part 2 of Article 109 of the Russian Criminal Code), has been referred to the court.

According to the investigation, the defendants failed to properly inspect the technical condition of the nursing home building. They were aware of a crack in the column cladding and a decrease in the load-bearing capacity of the structure, but they failed to take the necessary safety measures.
