Kadyrov promised new homes to flood-affected residents of Chechnya.

Construction of 100 houses for flood-affected families has begun in the Gudermes District, Ramzan Kadyrov reported. The number of Chechen residents evacuated from the disaster zone has exceeded 1,110, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," the village of Kundukhovo in Gudermes was flooded on March 28-29 as a result of rising water levels in the Gums River, requiring the evacuation of residents. After evacuating the flood zone, residents of the village were accommodated with relatives, refusing to be sent to temporary accommodation centers. On the evening of March 29, more than 500 people were also evacuated from the village of Braguny. A state of emergency was declared in the Shali, Kurchaloy, Sharoy, Shatoy, and Nozhai-Yurt districts of Chechnya. In the Shali district, at least 38 homes were flooded, bridge supports over the Khulkhulau and Bass rivers, as well as a gas pipeline, were destroyed. A partial dam breach occurred near the village of Tsotsi-Yurt in the Kurchaloy district. In the Nozhai-Yurt district, 69 homes were damaged.

New homes have begun to be built in the Gudermes district for those affected by the flooding in the Nozhai-Yurt district of Chechnya. This was announced by Ramzan Kadyrov during a report on his personal visit to the construction site. He was accompanied on the trip by Chechen Prime Minister Magomed Daudov and a large group of officials.

One hundred individual houses are being built in the village of Kerla-Benoy (Novy Benoy), where, according to Kadyrov, "similar natural disasters" are not predicted. The housing is intended for the "most affected" families, and construction is in the preparatory stage: workers are "preparing the site for construction, dividing it into plots, and digging trenches," according to a post on his Telegram channel.

As of March 30, 1,260 houses and courtyards remained flooded in Chechnya, and 557 houses had been cleared of water. The total number of people evacuated from the village of Kundukhovo in Gudermes and from the village of Braguny has reached 1,109, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations press service reported.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that in neighboring Dagestan, a state of emergency is in effect in eight municipalities: Makhachkala, Buinaksk, Dagestanskiye Ogni, Kaspiysk, and Khasavyurt, as well as in the Khasavyurt, Karabudakhkent, and Derbent districts.
