A Krasnodar resident was sentenced to prison for treason.

A court sentenced a Krasnodar resident to 12 years in prison for transferring two thousand rubles to a Ukrainian account.

The Krasnodar Regional Court has been hearing the case of the Krasnodar resident, accused of treason (Article 275 of the Russian Criminal Code carries a sentence of twelve to twenty years in prison), since September 2025.

According to the prosecution, the woman was "an opponent of the special military operation" and joined an online community administered by a Ukrainian citizen. It published calls for financial assistance to Ukraine.

The court found that in June 2022, the Krasnodar resident transferred one thousand rubles to the specified account details, and in September 2022, she made another transfer of the same amount - with the intention of "providing financial assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine," according to a statement from the United Press Service of the Kuban Courts.

The defendant was sentenced to 12 years in a general regime penal colony with one year of restricted freedom. In addition, the court ordered her to pay two thousand rubles "to forfeit funds used for activities directed against the security of the Russian Federation."

The defendant's name is not listed in the case file on the court's website. The verdict was announced on March 30, and 19 hearings have been held in total.

Caucasian Knot has not yet received any comments from the defendant or her lawyer regarding the verdict or her plans to appeal.
