Saraliev reported the results of the second day of the prisoner exchange

Another 300 Russian combatants have returned from Ukrainian captivity, and 300 of its servicemen have been handed over to Ukraine in exchange, said State Duma deputy from Chechnya Shamsail Saraliev.  

As "Caucasian Knot" wrote, Russia, within the framework of the Geneva agreements, is conducting a 500-500 prisoner of war exchange with Ukraine on March 5-6. State Duma deputy from Chechnya Shamsail Saraliev reported on Thursday that 200 Russian fighters have been returned to Russia, and 200 Ukrainian prisoners of war have been handed over to the Ukrainian side in exchange.

The announced two-day prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine ended today, reported Shamsail Saraliev. "300 of our soldiers have returned to Russia from Ukrainian captivity, and the same number have been sent to Ukraine," he wrote.

The Ministry of Defense also reported on the results of the exchange. According to the department, the participants are currently in Belarus, but will later be transported to Russia for "treatment and rehabilitation in medical facilities of the Russian Ministry of Defense."

"The United Arab Emirates and the United States provided humanitarian mediation efforts during the return of Russian servicemen from captivity," the Ministry of Defense's Telegram channel noted.

A month ago, on February 5, Saraliev reported on the first prisoner exchange with Ukraine this year. As part of this exchange, 157 military personnel and three civilians were returned to Russia. The next day, Ramzan Kadyrov reported that 20 of them were natives of Chechnya. Journalists discovered that among the returned Chechen fighters are a person convicted of sexual abuse of children and a former official. When discussing prisoner exchanges, the Russian side first and foremost demands the return of "Kadyrov's men from Akhmat," the Ukrainian project "I Want to Live" noted on its Telegram channel following the exchange on February 5.

On January 29, Kadyrov participated in talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and United Arab Emirates President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. In the Kremlin, Ramzan Kadyrov spoke about negotiations with the Ukrainian side on ending the special military operation. He expressed a desire to conclude it. "Negotiations after everything that has been done... I am against negotiations," Kadyrov stated.
