Operations at three airports in the North Caucasus have been suspended.

To ensure flight safety, operations at airports in Vladikavkaz, Grozny, and Magas have been suspended. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, a drone was shot down over Chechen territory.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on January 22, Rosaviatsiya imposed flight restrictions at airports in Grozny, Magas, Vladikavkaz, and Volgograd. A drone alert is also in effect in Kabardino-Balkaria, Dagestan, and Stavropol.

Around 11:00 PM Moscow time on February 1, temporary restrictions on aircraft arrivals and departures were imposed at airports in Grozny (Severny), Vladikavkaz (Beslan), and Magas. The restrictions have been introduced to ensure flight safety, according to the "Rosaviatsiya Speaks" Telegram channel.

There are no flights at the airports of Magas, Vladikavkaz, and Grozny until this morning. All flights from yesterday evening departed and arrived on schedule.

A drone alert has been issued in North Ossetia, according to the region's head, Sergei Menyailo, who also added that slowdowns in mobile phone and internet service are possible.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, 23 drones flying from Ukraine were destroyed over Russian regions between 6:00 PM and 11:00 PM Moscow time on February 1. The department clarified on its Telegram channel that 12 UAVs were shot down over the Krasnodar Krai, one drone each over the Stavropol Krai and Chechnya, and five more over the Sea of ​​Azov.

In the Krasnodar Krai, a UAV attack shattered the windows of several apartments in a multi-story building. Drone debris fell in the Krasnoarmeyskaya district and was found on the grounds of a private home in the village of Trudobelikovsky. There were no casualties, according to the Krasnodar Krai task force.

UAV attacks on Chechnya have become more frequent; four drone attacks have already been recorded since the beginning of December 2025. On December 2, four drones were shot down over Chechnya. According to Chechen opposition Telegram channels, drones struck military targets in Gudermes and Achkhoy-Martan that night, but authorities denied this. On December 5, several floors of a tower in the Grozny City business center were damaged in an explosion, a fact Ramzan Kadyrov acknowledged.
