Two soldiers from the Astrakhan region were declared killed in combat.

Vladimir Kalmykov and Ivan Kuptsov from the Volodarsky district were killed in combat operations in Ukraine. Since the beginning of the military operation, at least 683 fighters from the Astrakhan region have been recognized as killed in it.

At least 4,194 fighters from the North Caucasus Federal District and 4,310 from the Southern Federal District have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

An Alley of Remembrance for fellow countrymen killed in the military operation was opened in the village of Tsvetnoye, the Volodarsky District Administration announced on its Telegram channel on January 23.
