Viktor Goncharov's arrest has been extended.

The court extended the pretrial detention of former Deputy Governor of the Rostov Region Viktor Goncharov until February 4.

As reported by Kavkazsky Uzel, on February 17 it became known that security forces had interrogated Viktor Goncharov, an advisor to the Governor of the Rostov Region, and had him sign a written undertaking not to leave. On February 21, Goncharov was arrested under Part 3 of Article 286 of the Russian Criminal Code, and on February 22, the court remanded him in custody. On March 7, the court dismissed the appeal against Goncharov's arrest and remanded him in custody. In early November, the court extended Goncharov's detention by two months.

The Leninsky District Court of Rostov-on-Don extended the detention of former Deputy Governor of the Rostov Region, Viktor Goncharov, according to RBC on January 17.

According to the joint press service of the Rostov Region courts, Goncharov will remain in custody until February 4.

On February 17, Deputy Governor of the Rostov Region and Minister of Agriculture Konstantin Rachalovsky, whose case is linked to Goncharov's, was arrested on charges of abuse of power. In June, the court released him from house arrest.
