A resident of the Astrakhan Region complained to Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin that for over ten years she has been unable to obtain from officials the housing she is legally entitled to as an orphan.

Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin responded to a complaint from an Astrakhan resident who, as an orphan, has encountered delays in receiving housing.

The woman reported that she has been on the housing registry for over ten years. In 2020, a court decision on this matter even came into force, but to date, officials have not taken any measures to implement her rights, the Information Center of the Investigative Committee of Russia wrote on its Telegram channel on January 4.

Furthermore, the complainant has not received a regional one-time payment for the purchase of housing, and numerous complaints to various authorities have been unsuccessful.

Bastrykin instructed the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Astrakhan Region, Ibrahim Mogushkov, to report on the arguments stated in the complaint and on the prospects for resolving the orphan's problems.
