Eight settlements in the Krasnodar region were left without power.

The head of the district, Sergei Boyko, reported that snowdrifts and debris in the villages of Tuapse are hampering power workers; assistance from the region has been requested to clear roads and additional crews.

In the Tuapse district in the Krasnodar region, eight settlements remain without power due to the snowfall, including the villages of Shaumyan, Goytkh, and data-id="b30503b0-1cdf-420f-9832-8f03027d9287" class="hl-obj none">Sadovoye, 1st and 4th Gunayki, Terziyan khutor, Oktyabrsky settlement and Bolshoe Pseushkho aul.

The main difficulty lies in the large amount of snow: to reach the places where the lines are broken, it is first necessary to clear the roads of impassable snowdrifts and fallen trees, said Sergei Boyko, head of the Tuapse district, in his Telegram channel.

"Currently, specialists are preparing the village of Indyuk and partially - Oktyabrsky settlement. Regional authorities have been asked for assistance in clearing roads, as well as additional emergency crews," the district head said in a statement.

According to Sergei Boyko, work is ongoing and will continue until power is fully restored.

Power line breaks in the Tuapse District occurred on December 31 due to adverse weather conditions. Due to a disruption in the power supply to the overhead contact system and automatic train control systems, 55 trains are delayed on the Krasnodar Krai railway, according to Delovaya Gazeta Yug.

Earlier, "Kavkazsky Uzel" reported that dozens of trains have been delayed due to snowfall in Kuban, some of which have been delayed for almost a day. Passengers complained about the lack of hot food, water, and electricity.
