Residents of a Kuban village complained about the construction of a waste disposal plant
Residents of the village of Kholmskaya in the Abinsky District recorded a video message to Putin asking him to cancel the land allocation for the construction of a waste landfill.
As reported by the " Caucasian Knot ," residents of the village of Borisovka recorded a video message to Putin asking him to address the ongoing fires at a landfill in Novorossiysk. They complained that all their appeals to regulatory authorities have gone unanswered.
Residents of the village of Kholmskaya in the Abinsky District of Kuban, with the participation of Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) activists, recorded an appeal to the Russian president for the "Direct Line" today, Krasnodar City Duma deputy Alexander Safronov reported. He posted the recorded video on his Telegram channel.
"This plot is located in the center of a 1,650-hectare agricultural area. These lands have been feeding the Kuban region for decades and, by law, must be protected. Artesian water reserves are located beneath this plot. Residential neighborhoods are two kilometers away, and a school is three kilometers away. This is a gross violation of the Constitution and the Land Code," a local resident says in the video.

Those gathered appealed to Putin and called on him to intervene, complaining that officials were "not listening" to the people.
"Sort this absurdity out! Our sons, our husbands, our brothers are defending our homeland, including our small homeland, not so that oligarchs and negligent officials can create a garbage dump on valuable farmland, next to our homes and schools! Vladimir Vladimirovich, stand up for common sense. The people are categorically opposed to this approach. It's a crime!" the assembled residents concluded.
According to Deputy Safronov, it's high time officials realized that building landfills near settlements is a crime against the people. "Yes, this approach benefits oligarchs who don't want to spend money on infrastructure and want to set up landfills close to roads and residential areas. But our country isn't run by oligarchs! It's time for the authorities to remember the people!" he wrote in a statement.
The " Caucasian Knot " also reported that Krasnodar Krai police issued a warning against "extremist" behavior and actions to a resident of the Anapa district, whom law enforcement officials believe to be the organizer of the collective appeal to Putin.
