A soldier killed in Ukraine has been buried in North Ossetia.

A soldier from the Mozdok district killed in Ukraine has been buried in Kizlyar. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, authorities have acknowledged at least 519 combatants from North Ossetia killed there.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," by November 23, the number of soldiers from southern Russia whom officials have officially and publicly acknowledged as killed in Ukraine exceeded 8,000. This number includes 518 servicemen from North Ossetia.

33-year-old Naib Slonov was killed in the combat zone in Ukraine, the administration of the Mozdok district of North Ossetia reported.

Slonov's funeral took place today in the village of Kizlyar, according to a post on the municipality's official Telegram channel. Officials did not provide details about his biography or the circumstances of his death.

Thus, at least 519 combatants from North Ossetia have been officially recognized as killed on the Ukrainian front. The "Caucasian Knot" maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation.
