The number of people accused of attacking security forces in Zelenokumsk has risen to five.

A 17-year-old teenager, wanted for several months in connection with an attack on police officers at a cemetery in Zelenokumsk, has been taken into custody. He is the fifth defendant in the case.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on May 3, investigators reported that four people had been arrested in connection with the attack on police officers at a cemetery in Zelenokumsk, and a fifth suspect was placed on the wanted list. The case was opened under Part 2 of Article 318 of the Russian Criminal Code, which carries a sentence of up to 10 years in prison.

A 17-year-old teenager has been detained in the Soviet District and charged under Part 2 of Article 318 of the Russian Criminal Code in connection with the incident that occurred on April 29 in Zelenokumsk, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Stavropol Krai reported today on its website.

"Four defendants were detained immediately. The fifth attacker, a 17-year-old teenager, managed to escape, and therefore was placed on the federal wanted list," the publication stated.

The fifth defendant, like the other alleged participants in the attack, has been taken into custody, the agency clarified.

One of the men shouted loudly, advancing on the officers. "Why won't you let us sit quietly?" he asked.

The officers initially responded quietly. "Because this is a public place, people are mourning, and there's no need for a drinking party here," one of them then shouted. Later footage showed that during the scuffle, the officers struck the man who asked the question, and other people in the crowd began hitting the officers.
