Commemoration sites of those who perished near Moscow appear in NCFD cities

Residents of cities in the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) are bringing flowers to spontaneous memorials setup in memory of those who perished in the terror act committed at the Crocus City Hall. Authorities of Chechnya and Ingushetia did not report laying flowers in memory of the terror act victims.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 22, armed men broke into the concert Crocus City Hall located in the town of Krasnogorsk near Moscow and opened fire. The FSB (Russian Federal Security Service) has classified the incident as a terror act. In total, 133 people perished. Spontaneous memorials have been set up in cities of all the regions of the Southern Federal District (SFD).

The FSB has reported the detention of 11 suspects of committing the terror act. Four of them were detained in the Bryansk Region while trying to escape towards the Ukrainian border; they had contacts on the Ukrainian side, the FSB has reported.

In his Telegram channel, Rashid Temrezov, the head of Karachay-Cherkessia, reported laying flowers at the memorial to the victims.

Candles in memory of the victims were lit in the gym of the Beslan School, Sergey Menyailo, the head of North Ossetia, has written in his Telegram channel.

In Kabardino-Balkaria, flowers were laid at the banner dedicated to the events in Krasnogorsk; it follows from the video posted by Kazbek Kokov, the head of the republic, in his Telegram channel. He himself laid flowers in front of a crowd of people.

Administration of Dagestan has reported in its Telegram channel about spontaneous memorials that appeared in Makhachkala, Kaspiysk, Kizlyar, Derbent, Izberbash, Khasavyurt and Buinaksk.

Let us remind you that after the terror act, regional authorities of Northern Caucasus reported on strengthening security measures. In particular, entertainment and mass events have been cancelled. Vladimir Putin declared March 24 a day of national mourning.
