In Quarter 4 of 2020, 26 persons fell victim to armed conflict in North Caucasus

At least 26 people suffered during the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus in Quarter 4 of 2020, that is, from October 1 to December 31, 2020, including 18 killed and eight wounded persons. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from open sources.

The list of 18 casualties includes 15 persons considered, according to official data, as militants, and three law enforcers. All the wounded persons were law enforcers.

In October 2020, 12 people fell victim to the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus: 11 perished and one was wounded. Among the casualties, there are two law enforcers and nine alleged members of the armed underground; the wounded one was a law enforcers. In November, there was no information about the victims of the conflict. In December, 14 people fell victim to the conflict: seven perished and seven others were wounded. The death toll included one law enforcer and six alleged members of the armed underground; all the wounded persons were law enforcers.

In Chechnya, in Quarter 4 of 2020, during the conflict, three law enforcers and 11 alleged members of the armed underground perished, and two law enforcers were wounded.

In Karachay-Cherkessia, during the reporting period, one alleged member of the armed underground was killed and six law enforcers were wounded.

In Dagestan, two alleged members of the armed underground were killed in Quarter 4 of 2020.

One suspected member of the armed underground was killed in Ingushetia.

In Kabardino-Balkaria, North Ossetia-Alania and the Stavropol Territory no victims of the armed conflict were recorded in Quarter 4 of 2020.

Earlier, in Quarter 3 of 2020, at least 15 people fell victim to the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus: 13 of them perished, and two were wounded. The death toll included 12 people involved, according to official data, with militants, and one law enforcer. Both wounded persons were law enforcers.
