Murtazali Gasanguseinov holds a picket in Makhachkala

Today, in Makhachkala, Murtazali Gasanguseinov, a father of the killed shepherds, has started a protest action with the demand to investigate the killing of his sons and to sanction a rally, report users of social networks.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 12, in Makhachkala, Murtazali Gasanguseinov also went on a picket to draw attention to the case on the killing of his sons. His protest action ended when the picketer was invited to the City Mayoralty, where the acting Mayor guaranteed a sanction for the rally to be held. However, on December 19, it became known that for the sixth time, the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) did not sanction the rally in support of the Gasanguseinov family.

On August 23, 2016, the 17-year-old and 19-year-old sons of Murtazali Gasanguseinov from the village of Goor-Khindakh were killed in the Shamil District. Law enforcers declared that the brothers were militants; however, the brothers' fellow villagers insisted that they had nothing to do with militants.

"In Makhachkala, on the square in front of the parliament building, Murtazali Gasanguseinov holds his solo picket with the demand to investigate the killing of his sons and sanction the rally," the "Ask Rasul" Telegram Channel reports today.

Konstantin Gusev, a user of Facebook, has also written that Murtazali Gasanguseinov is holding a picket under the rain.

"Makhachkala. Morning. Rain. Wind. Slush. Murtazali Gasanguseinov stands in front of the parliament building of Dagestan and holds in his hands the portraits of his killed sons. He wants to find out why the rally was banned (...) Expensive foreign-made cars drive up to the building and MPs elected by people come out of them. They pay no attention to the old man and pass into the building being busy with their important matters," Konstantin Gusev notes.

According to the Facebook user, the acting Mayor of Makhachkala also did everything not to meet the father of the killed shepherds. Meanwhile, the "police in bullet-proof vests with machine guns" are nearby.
