Russian Foreign Ministry did not like Chechen presidential elections evaluation made by US Department of State

The Russian Foreign Ministry did not like a reaction of the US Department of State to the Chechen presidential elections.

Richard Baucher, a spokesman of the Department of State, declared the elections held in Chechnya "did not meet international standards of free will".

In response the Russian Foreign Ministry called Baucher's pronouncement "off-handed and tactless".
