Volgograd blogger suspected of inciting hatred towards Russian Army

Pavel Prokudin, a blogger from Volgograd, who spoke live about participants of the special military operation (SMO) in Ukraine, became a suspect in a criminal case on inciting hatred and enmity.

In June 2023, Pavel Prokudin apologized for insulting Muslims and residents of the Caucasus in his video stream. The blogger explained that his statements were provoked by insults towards the Russians and himself.

The reason for the criminal prosecution of the blogger was his words assessing the Russian militaries, the “OVD-Info”* human rights project reported in its Telegram channel.

A report against the blogger was filed to the police by Yekaterina Mizulina, the director of the “Safe Internet League”, the “ASTRA” publication reports.

*Included by the Russian Ministry of Justice (MoJ) into the register of foreign agents.
